IBG Models 1/72 Centaur Mk.IV British Tank - renderings - available soon!
We present the colors and markings of the Centaur tanks that will be included in the upcoming 1/72 scale model. We've slightly modified the approach to creating color options to include the needs of diorama makers. This means:
* The box will contain markings for 6 tanks, as diverse as possible and representing the different steps of the combat trail of this tank. The decals even take into account small differences in markings between vehicles (including angle markings on the turret)
* We included two tanks from each unit. Putting them together on the diorama will be fully aligned with the historical accuracy - there is no doubt that these vehicles fought together
* We reconstructed the appearance of the vehicles of 1st Canadian Centaur Battery, the last unit to use tanks of this type. No photos of them are known, but serial numbers have been identified based on the documents. As these were ex-RMASG tanks handed over in Normandy, we assumed that the earlier unit markings were painted over, and the new ones were not applied, as the 1st Canadian Centaur Battery did not have its own markings. Tanks from this battery can also be safely placed on a diorama with Cromwell tanks from the 6th Airborne Armored Reconnaissance Regiment (IBG set number 72102), because during the capture of the Pont-Audemer 1st Canadian Centaur Battery was subordinated to the 6th AARR
