Today we have prepared for you a review of the latest news from the domestic Star - the Soviet dive bomber Pe-2 on a scale of 1/72!

While we complete your orders with this model it's time to look into the box!

As photos of castings, we used photos of test castings, because of which they have a few underweights and weights. In the series, everything is OK.

The aircraft itself was developed in the late 1930s and was originally created as a high-altitude fighter. Rapidly changed demands of the military forced the designers in record time to converted the fighter into a dive bomber. The aircraft was produced throughout the war, constantly changing. He was put on more powerful weapons and engines, turned him into a fighter and a scout. From the first to the last day of World War II, the Pawn served faithfully.

The set is a completely new development of the Star. Long ago, back in the mid-90s, the Star released the model Pe-2, but that set has long become a thing of history and in common with the new model it has only the name.

The model depicts the aircraft of the late series, from the 245th series to the most recent (350 and 500). The new set is based on a model released on a 48scale scale, but is not a full-fledged down-market model. Changes have been made to the geometry of the cockpit lantern, the shape of the hatches on the belly, the shape of the fuselage behind the cockpit lantern, etc. With the scale reduction, the detail ingessis has been slightly reduced, but it's still great for 1/72. There are two variants of the tubes, two types of astroluca, provided the opportunity to open the bomb compartment and hatch into the cockpit. The model used technical documentation and measurements of the real aircraft from the Air Force Museum in Monino.

The Star-singile box is a soft colored box with a thick box of thick cardboard inside. The front side of the box is decorated with box art performed by Andrey Yirnov, on the back - an example of the model's performance in the finished form behind the authorship of Sergei Surnev.

The details themselves are packed in a common package, transparent details, decals are packed in an individual package. The parts in the box lie tight, do not dangle. In general, the box should easily survive the possible hardships of mailing.

Instructions in the star's signature style, with a couple of model assembly options. It is necessary to decide in advance on the option of coloring, that would install the right tubes and options astroluk.

The coloring scheme is colored, with instructions of colors on the palette of Master Acryla and Tamia. There are five coloring options.

1. Plane Vasily Rakov (with voluminous stars No1/335),

2. Evgeny Stupin's Plane (For Boris Safonov)

3. Georgi Yith (it is clear with what inscription)

4. Plane 34 BAP (with the inscription Leningrad and possibly with a bear)

5. Pole with arrow number 4/441

The decal itself is printed by the company "Behemoth" and is of good quality. There are no shifts of flowers and steps. There are a lot of technicians, which, by the way, was not on the 48th scale.

The glazing is good, transparent and thin. It gives almost no distortions. The turret is given one detail with the glazing of the cabin. It is a technological solution, to preserve the large thickness and width of the turrets.

And of course - castings.

There are three frames of gray plastic in the set. The plastic itself is soft, well processed and glued, but quite strongly dissolved by super-fluid glues, be careful.

The casting is good. Traces from the junction of the molds are inconspicuous, there are no displacements. On a number of castings there are white divorces from moisture in polysterol, but the physical properties of castings it does not affect and will disappear under the layer of primer.

The main advantage of the model, against the background of other new Stars in 1/72 - a clear and moderately deep embroidery. It perfectly survives primer and coloring.

Detailing at altitude. The interior of the fuselage, the chassis niche, bomb compartment, suspension weapons are clearly shown. A separate charm - figurines of pilots. The choice is the FAB-100 and FAB-250 as a suspension.

The build is great. The only place where you may need a putty - the junction of the halves of the bonnets of the motors.

In general, the set makes a great impression and pleases attention to detail. Coloring options are interesting and beautiful, as are the various assembly options.

To sum up I would like to thank the "Star" for the excellent model Pe-2.

Сегодня мы подготовили для вас обзор на свежую новинку от отечественной Звезды - советский пикирующий бомбардировщик Пе-2 в масштабе 1/72!

В качестве фотографий отливок мы использовали фото тестовых отливок, из-за чего на них есть несколько недоливов и утяжин. В серии все ок.

Сам самолет был разработан в самом конце 1930ых годов и изначально создавался как высотный истребитель. Быстро изменившиеся требования военных вынудили конструкторов в рекордно короткие сроки переделан истребитель в пикирующий бомбардировщик. Самолет выпускался на протяжении всей войны, постоянно меняясь. На него ставили более мощное вооружение и двигатели, превращали его в истребитель и разведчик. С первого и до последнего дня Великой Отечественной войны «Пешка» служила верой и правдой.

Набор - полностью новая разработка Звезды. Давно, еще в середине 90ых годов Звезда выпускала модель Пе-2, но тот набор давно стал достоянием истории и общего с новой моделью у него только название.

Модель изображает самолет поздних серий, с 245ой серии и до самых последних (350 и 500). Новый набор основан на выпущенной ранее модели в 48ом масштабе, но не является полноценным даунскеелом. Внесены изменения в геометрию фонаря кабины, форму лючков на брюхе, форму фюзеляжа за фонарем кабины и тд. С уменьшением масштаба несколько уменьшена деталировка, но тем не менее для 1/72 она отличная. Есть два варианта патрубков, два вида астролюка, предусмотрена возможность открыть бомбоотсек и люк в кабину пилота. При создании модели использовалась техническая документация и обмеры реального самолета из музея ВВС в Монино.

Коробка в фирменном стиле Звезды - мягкая цветная коробка с плотной коробкой из толстого картона внутри. Лицевую сторону коробки украшает бокс-арт в исполнении Андрея Жирнова, на тыльной стороне - пример исполнения модели в готовом виде за авторством Сергея Сурнева.

Сами детали упакованы в общий пакет, прозрачные детали, декали упакованы в индивидуальный пакет. Детали в коробке лежат плотно, не болтаются. В целом коробка должна без проблем пережить возможные тяготы почтовой пересылки.

Инструкция в фирменном стиле Звезды, с парой вариантов сборки модели. Стоит заранее определиться с вариантом окраски, что бы установить правильные патрубки и варианты астролюка.

Схема окраски цветная, с указаниями цветов по палитре Мастер-Акрила и Тамии. Вариантов окраски пять.
1. Самолет Василий Иванович Раков Ракова (с объемными звездами №1/335),
2. Самолет Евгения Ступина (За Бориса Сафонова)
3. Самолет Забияка Георгий Иванович (понятно с какой надписью)
4. Самолет 34 БАП (с надписью Ленинград и возможно с медведем)

Сама декаль напечатана фирмой "Бегемот" и отличается хорошим качеством. Смещений цветов и ступенек нет. Есть множество технички, которой, кстати, не было в 48ом масштабе.

Остекление хорошее, прозрачное и тонкое. Искажений оно почти не дает. Турель дана одной деталью с остеклением кабины. Это технологическое решение, для сохранения масштабной толщины и ширины турели.

И конечно же - отливки.
В наборе три рамки из серого пластика. Сам пластик мягкий, хорошо обрабатывается и клеится, но довольно сильно растворяется супер-текучими клеями, будьте внимательны.

Литье хорошее.  Следы от стыка прессформ малозаметные, смещений нет. На ряде отливок есть белесые разводы от попадания влаги в полистерол, но на физические свойства отливок это не влияет и исчезнет под слоем грунтовки.

Главный плюс модели, на фоне остальных новинок Звезды в 1/72 - четкая и в меру глубокая расшивка. Она отлично переживает грунтовку и окраску.

Деталировка на высоте. Хорошо показан интерьер фюзеляжа, ниш шасси, бомбоотсек, подвесное вооружение. Отдельная прелесть - фигурки пилотов. На выбор даются ФАБ-100 и ФАБ-250 в качестве подвески.

В сборке набор отличный. Единственное место, где может понадобиться шпаклевка - стык половинок капотов моторов.

В целом набор производит отличное впечатление и радует вниманием к деталям. Варианты окраски интересные и красивые, как и различные варианты сборки.
